On the 10 principles of the UN Global Compact

The United Nations Global Compact is a voluntary pact between companies, organizations and the UN in the framework of which participating companies and organizations undertake to demonstrate commitment to human rights, fair working conditions, environmental protection and anti-corruption.

We - SIL Lackfabrik GmbH & Co. KG Spezialindustrielacke - are committed to the 10 principles in accordance with our values. We have integrated them into our corporate activities and are continuously developing our activities in support of the goals.

Our compliance guidelines reflect our attitude.

The goals and 10 principles of the UN Global Compact:

Human Rights
01. Businesses should support and respect the protection of international human rights.
02. businesses should ensure that they are not complicit in human rights abuses.

Labor Standards
03. Businesses should uphold the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining.
04. businesses should work for the elimination of all forms of forced labor.
05. enterprises should uphold the elimination of child labor.
06. businesses should uphold the elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation.

Environment

07. companies should follow the precautionary principle in dealing with environmental problems.
08. enterprises should take initiatives to promote greater environmental awareness.
09. enterprises should accelerate the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies.

Prevention of Corruption
10. Businesses should work against all forms of corruption, including extortion and bribery.

Two complementary goals:

1. The ten principles are to be integrated into corporate action at the global level.

 

2. Measures are to be advanced that support the general goals of the UN e.g. SDGs | Sustainable Development Goals.

We have more than 10% of apprentices and offer advanced employee training 4 times a year.

At our company, men and women are always paid equally and according to identical standards.

We grant 30 days of vacation, flextime models and overtime is paid.

Measures for climate protection:

In the course of the energy management DIN ISO EN 50001 we continuously improve the efficiency of the use of different energy sources (gas, electricity, diesel).
